If you receive a PDF file which has a photo,
form, illustration or chart which
you want to publish to the Web or include in an Office application, use pdf2image. Choose
the best format from the four supported standards - GIF, PNG, BMP and JPEG.
The best image format is determined by your project.
Sometimes, you need to break-down an illustration or drawing into
editable lines, curves and text. If this is the case, you need
pdf2picture. If you
want a high-quality image and do not need to edit the PDF, then
pdf2image is the right tool. You may find that you need both, in which
